The massiveness of this bull is perpetuated by its blocky, rectangular shape. Squares and rectangles are earth shapes, stable and solid. The repeating shape of the bison in the background adds to the suggestion of solid and stable power. The whole image is balanced by the soft pastel colours brought on the the morning mist.
